Conditions

Conditions we work with.

MyoReformation addresses the whole body, which means we work with a wide range of conditions. Here's what we commonly see — and where we're careful.

An important note

We don't claim to cure or heal any condition. We work to create conditions that may support the body's natural recovery processes.

For certain conditions we require GP approval before treatment, and if your condition is outside our scope, we will refer you on.

Chronic Pain01

Chronic Pain

Chronic pain — whether in the back, neck, shoulders, or joints — often involves complex patterns that develop over time. Traditional approaches may address the site of pain, but the underlying cause may lie elsewhere.

How it may help

By working with the entire muscular system, we aim to address compensation patterns that may be contributing to pain.

What we commonly see

Lower back pain · Neck & shoulder tension · Hip and knee discomfort · Tension headaches · Generalised stiffness

Sports Injuries & Recovery02

Sports Injuries & Recovery

Athletes and active individuals often develop compensation patterns after injury. Even when an injury “heals,” the body may have adapted in ways that limit performance or create vulnerability to re-injury.

How it may help

We work to address the whole-body patterns that develop around injury, supporting a more complete return to movement.

What we commonly see

Strains & sprains · Post-injury compensation · Performance limitations · Recurring injuries

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation03

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

Surgery creates changes in the body — scar tissue, altered movement patterns, and compensation as the body protects the surgical site. These patterns can persist long after wounds have healed.

How it may help

We work to support recovery by addressing the muscular system around and beyond the surgical area, with appropriate clearance and timing.

What we commonly see

Orthopaedic recovery · Abdominal surgery · Restoring natural movement · Reducing stiffness

Important

We require appropriate clearance before working with post-surgical clients. Timing matters — we want to support your recovery, not interfere with it.

Desk Worker Syndrome04

Desk Worker Syndrome

Modern work often means hours in positions the body wasn't designed for. Over time, this creates patterns of tension, poor posture, and discomfort that can affect every aspect of life.

How it may help

We work with the muscular patterns that develop from prolonged sitting, screen use, and limited movement — addressing the whole body, not just the obvious areas of tension.

What we commonly see

Neck & shoulder tension · Lower back pain from sitting · Postural issues · Stiffness · Fatigue and low energy

Complex Long-Term Cases05

Complex Long-Term Cases

Some clients come to us after years of managing chronic conditions, often having tried multiple approaches without lasting results. These complex cases are a particular interest of ours.

How it may help

Complex cases require patience, careful observation, and honest communication. We don't promise miracles — we commit to working thoughtfully and being honest about what we observe.

What we commonly see

Conditions unresponsive to other treatments · Long-term chronic support · Multi-system issues · Post-critical illness

Post-Critical Illness Recovery
New territory

Post-Critical Illness Recovery

Surviving critical illness — sepsis, ICU stay, or other serious conditions — is only the beginning. Many survivors face ongoing fatigue, weakness, and nervous-system dysregulation long after medical discharge.

Our lead practitioner is speaking at The Sepsis Patient Care Conference 2026, exploring how bodywork might support post-sepsis recovery. We're actively learning and collaborating with medical professionals.

What we're exploring

Physical recovery after prolonged illness · Muscle weakness & deconditioning · Nervous-system dysregulation · Bridging “medically stable” to “physically confident”
