For Professionals

Working with the healthcare system.

We're committed to working collaboratively within the NHS and the broader healthcare system — not against it. Here's what you need to know about MyoReformation.

01

For General Practitioners

MyoReformation is a complementary approach that may support patients with musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, and post-surgical recovery. We work within a clear scope of practice and refer appropriately.

What to expect

If you refer a patient to us, we're happy to provide treatment notes and communicate about their progress. We believe in collaborative care.

When to consider referral

  • Chronic musculoskeletal pain not responding to conventional treatment
  • Post-surgical patients seeking rehabilitation support
  • Patients with functional movement limitations
  • Long-term conditions requiring ongoing physical support
  • Post-critical illness recovery (including post-sepsis)

Our scope of practice

  • We do not diagnose medical conditions
  • We do not claim to cure or heal
  • We work to support the body's natural recovery processes
  • For certain conditions, we require GP approval before treatment
  • We refer back to medical professionals when warranted
02

For Physiotherapists

MyoReformation can complement physiotherapy by addressing the muscular system through a whole-body approach. Some physios find value in learning the technique to expand their toolkit.

Potential complementary use

Some practitioners find MyoReformation can help prepare the body for exercise-based rehabilitation, or support clients who have plateaued in their recovery.

How MyoReformation differs

01
Whole-body approachEvery session addresses the entire muscular system, not isolated areas.
02
Muscle attachment focusWorks on specific points where muscles attach.
03
Passive treatmentThe client receives treatment rather than performing exercises.
04
Lymphatic considerationAttention to supporting lymphatic flow.
03

For Researchers

We're actively seeking collaboration with researchers interested in investigating bodywork approaches. We're honest about where we are: we have clinical observations, but limited formal research.

"We'd rather be honestly uncertain than confidently wrong." We welcome scrutiny and are committed to understanding what we're observing.

What we're interested in

  • Formal documentation of observed outcomes
  • Understanding mechanisms of action
  • Comparing outcomes with other interventions
  • Investigating specific populations (e.g. post-critical illness)

What we can offer

  • Access to clinical observations and case documentation
  • Collaboration on study design
  • Practitioners willing to participate in research
  • A philosophy of intellectual honesty about limitations
